• Area Business Development Manager

Reporting to the Head of Sales & Marketing for this business unit, you will be responsible for penetrating selected financial institutions across your assigned Area. You will pro actively take the business to the next level by identifying, qualifying, pursuing and successfully contracting business opportunities. You will be responsible to build and manage a pipeline and continually generate new opportunities, to meet and exceed quotas.
 

Other responsibilities will include:

• Top level strategic and consultative solution selling to selected target accounts
• Developing high-level customer relationships and assuring that the company is known in the financial institutions community
• Ownership of local marketing plan and execution thereof
• Bid management, contract negotiation and closing
• Executing the business plan and work with partners on international deals

Profile and requirements:

• As the ideal candidate you successfully combine your functional knowledge and your communicative and project management skills.
• You have a passion for quality, you use high standards and you aim to achieve them. You work pro-actively and are driven by results; you identify and respond to the customer’s needs and wishes.
• Commercial bachelor or university education, or proven experience
  Minimum 8 years proven track record of successfully selling complex business and IT solutions to retail banks
• Aggressive "hunting" skills with a proven track record at identifying, qualifying, prioritising and closing new business
• Strong record of success through consistently exceeding sales targets
  Well acquainted with the internal business processes of retail banks at an international
  level
• Familiar with the requirements surrounding the implementation of software applications and business reengineering projects in the financial world
• Experience developing and maintaining a geographic territory
  Ability to work independently, being a self starter and entrepreneur
• Excellent team player
• Willingness to travel
• Excellent English speaking and writing skills and 1 additional leading European language(knowledge of additional languages are an asset)
• A track record of partnering with system integrators
• Broad knowledge of loans
